Sonic Arts Ensemble with Contemporary Ensemble
Sonic Arts Ensemble is an improvisational group fusing live electronics and instrumental performance into an expansive and unconventional experience. The group embraces a variety of electroacoustic practices: analog and digital synthesis, effects pedals, and live processing of instrumental sound, to create an energized and immersive aural tapestry, all produced live and in the moment. Contemporary Ensemble draws on many types of scores (traditional, graphic, text, etc) and participants are encouraged to create their own, which we develop and perform. We use deep listening and improvisation to find common ground.
