Family Weekend Silver Falls Hikes
Sign up to visit one of Oregon’s premiere state parks. Silver Falls State Park includes one of the state’s most loved hikes, the Trail of Ten Falls. Join this excursion to hike a 2.6-mile portion of the trail visiting two of Oregon’s largest waterfalls. Do not miss this opportunity to spend time in Oregon’s exceptional outdoors under the guidance of our trained Outdoor Program (ODP) leaders. Choose between a morning and afternoon hike. Then choose between riding with us or meeting at the park. For $25 get a ride from campus with our ODP leaders in our rented vehicles. Alternatively, for $18 your family can meet ODP leaders at the trailhead in the South Day Use area in the park. The limited spaces fill quickly. Sign up early if you are interested. Departure & Return Time for AM: 8:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Departure & Return Time for PM: 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Challenge Level: Beginner - no skills or experience needed
Total Spots Available: 17 to Ride Along and 10 to Drive Yourself (27 spots per time slot)
Cost: $25 to Ride Along or $18 to Drive Yourself 
Includes transportation and entry fee (if you ride along), leaders, safety equipment, and snacks. Additional gear is available for rent from our rental center.
 

PLEASE NOTE: If you choose to drive yourself, the park requires a park pass. You can pay a day-use parking fee of $5.00 at the trailhead or use your personal State Park Pass.
ADDITIONALLY: Please consider the timelines when planning your hike. Late arrivals risk missing the hike. Also, consider both return times for the hike and the start times for later events to prevent missing afternoon or evening events.
