Summary / Abstract – Join David Parry (AGSM MBA ’05) as he shares his career journey—from earning a Computer Science degree in Idaho to pursuing an MBA at Willamette University, to nearly two decades at HP. David’s path has taken him from data science and product development to leading an organization focused on using data-driven solutions to enhance customer experiences. In this talk, he will discuss key lessons learned along the way, insights into HP as a career potential, and practical advice on how to translate your academic interests into a rewarding career.

Biography

David Parry is a proud graduate of the Atkinson Graduate School of Management (2005) and currently serves as the Director of Home Printing Solutions, Partners, and Analytics at HP. Over nearly two decades with HP, he has held a variety of roles spanning data science, product development, and strategic innovation. Today, he leads a team dedicated to developing solutions that empower customers to be more creative, productive, and educationally engaged through HP software and partnerships. A named inventor on six patents, David is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance the customer experience.

A firm believer in servant leadership, David is committed to supporting his customers, his team, and the broader organization. Outside of work, he is deeply involved in Scouting, serving at the troop, community, and regional levels. An Eagle Scout himself, he has addtionally been honored with the Silver Beaver Award for his contributions to more than 8,000 Scouts across the Willamette Valley.

David lives in Salem, Oregon, with his wife (Kellie) and two children. His daughter, Grace, is currently a sophomore at Willamette University and Ethan is finishing his senior year at Early College High School in Salem. In his free time, David enjoys finding the Triforce, stepping into the ring with Mike Tyson, or perfectly stacking tetrominoes.
